In preparation for St. Patrick’s Day we thought we should share some of the Irish heritage in Ohio.
Some of the Irish culture in Ohio is shown through the many festivals that are put on in the summer. One of these festival is the Dublin Irish Festival. The Dublin Irish Festival is the second largest in the world. If you are not near Dublin you could check out the Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival. Another great festival to check out is the Riverfront Irish Festival in Cuyahoga Falls.
There are also some great Irish clubs and organizations in Ohio. One of these is the Central Ohio Irish Club.
There are also many Irish stories in Ohio and one such store is in Wickliffe, Ohio. The store is named Irish Crossroads Gift Shop.
It is time to go out and explore the Irish Heritage in Ohio.
If you can not get to Ohio he is a great website to check out about Irish Ohioans: http://www.ohiohistorycentral.org/entry.php?rec=596.
